Crossfire Traffic

Crossfire Traffic is a means to communicate the activity surrounding crossfire in an accessible and non-technical way, it is targeted at those who are curious about what is happening with the project, but find the existing mailing lists, commit list, forum, wiki and IRC channels overly complicated, scary, or time consuming to read. As such it does not contain any background details, but instead focuses only on things that are user-visible.

• Adjust starvation damage rate
  • Previously, food was allowed to go negative
  • Each unit of negative food caused one unit of HP damage
  • This means that if something causes food to go very negative, a player quickly consume all of their spare food and die outright
  • This adds a lower limit to starvation at food=0. When the player is starving, turn off regeneration and deal 1 HP damage per tick
  • This means that no matter how negative food goes, it will limit at 0 and give the player some time to remediate the situation
