====== Health (Hp) ====== //Hit Points// measures of how much damage the player can take before dying. Hit points are determined from the player level and are influenced by the value of the character's CON according to the #CON Bonus to HP Table below. //Damage// taken directly removes current hp. //Hp// slowly regenerates according to hp regen or the use of Health Potions or similar :spells. //Max Hp// is the total number of //hp// a player can have for a given //CON// and //Level// . Under normal circumstances, dropping to 0 HP will kill you, causing a loss of EXP and a random stat point, reviving you at the last Bed to Reality you applied. If you are killed while wearing something with the lifesaving property, namely an Amulet of Lifesaving, you will not die. Instead, the equipped item will be destroyed and you will immediate be healed to full health without any further penalties, allowing you a second chance to keep fighting or escape whatever is trying to kill you! ===== Max Hp ===== The following formula describes what the maximum hp a player can have is for characters at or below level 10 Character's Level + (the Constitution Bonus (see CON bonus table below) x Character's Level) for characters greater than level 10 ((the Constitution Bonus (see CON bonus table below) x 10)) + ((Character's Level - 10) x 2) + 10 //note a players max hp can never be less than 1.// For example, using the below table, a character with 20 CON at level 29 would have: max hp = (5 x 10) + (19 x 2) + 10 max hp = 50 + 38 + 10 max hp = 98 hp Accordingly players will typically experience a rapid increase in max hp until level 11. ==== CON Bonus to HP Table ==== ^ CON stat points ^ CON Bonus to Max hp^ | 1 | -2.5 | | 2 | -2 | | 3 | -1.5 | | 4 | -1 | | 5 | -0.5 | | 6 | -0.5 | | 7 | 0 | | 8 | 0 | | 9 | 0 | | 10 | 0 | | 11 | 0.5 | | 12 | 1 | | 13 | 1.5 | | 14 | 2 | | 15 | 2.5 | | 16 | 3 | | 17 | 3.5 | | 18 | 4 | | 19 | 4.5 | | 20 | 5 | | 21 | 6 | | 22 | 7 | | 23 | 8 | | 24 | 9 | | 25 | 10 | | 26 | 11 | | 27 | 12.5 | | 28 | 15 | | 29 | 20 | | 30 | 25 | ===From old handbook=== Hit points (Hp) A character will gain the following number of Hp for each new overall level gained between levels 1-10: (HpB)/2 + D4 + D4 + 1 + 1/every even level if HpB is even. Where D4 is a random number between 1 and 4 and you always get 1 hit point gained per level, regardless of HpBM. For levels after 10th, Hp grow 2 per level. The overall level provides the correct value for level in the calculation.
