+Warlock is among the most popular classes in the game. Whether that's due to their nifty purple clothing and fur-lined cloak, or just because they're good all around physical and magical characters isn't necessarily clear, but Warlocks work well if you want to fight with a mix of spell and sword. Evocation is a really good school of magic to start with, too, being effective at wiping out large hordes of enemies.
