Halfling

Halflings are another sub-race of humankind, like the Northman. They are much smaller and shorter than Humans, so they are weaker, but they are far quicker and hardier. They're quite unreligious, but many take up magic.

Their small size lets them hide more effectively, and for some reason, chance seems to favor them with good luck. They are also surprisingly resistant to loss of life stealing.

Player Race

The Halfling is selectable by players as their race . It has the following modifications:

Race Notes

Massive Dex and Con is an interesting combination. The luck boost is theoretically helpful, but in practice luck doesn't seem to have a tremendous impact on the game itself (equipment that impacts luck is rare or next to nonexistent, and players don't really report significant disadvantages from worshipping Gorokh who has a luck penalty). The +30% Drain resistance however is generally not useful; Drain is something you'll want 100% resist for the immunity as losing exp points is extremely annoying, and there's many pieces of equipment available including some early on that can get it for you. Not a bad race to play, but the Drain resistance is not a factor you should consider when choosing to play them.
