You’ve had more of an emphasis on physical training than most spellcasters, at the expense of less time spent on casting spells. You’ve never learned to use magic innately, but instead rely on a magic talisman to channel mana for you. Your work has leaned heavily toward the art of summoning creatures to help you in a fight, and your talisman has become attuned to that. That attunement, however, makes it harder for you to reject unwanted creatures. You’ve also had a reasonable education in religious devotion.
The summoner is selectable by players as their class. It has the following modifications to stat distribution:
Class selection does not affect stat maximums
Summoning rather sucks for actually killing things quickly, at least early on compared to other schools of spells. Eventually you get the option to do things like Charm large groups of monsters or cast the relatively new and useful Earthquake spell, but it takes a while to get there, and Summoning is easier to train if your maximum Mana has been raised by training Evocation, Pyromancy, or Sorcery first.
Summoners do get spiffy yellow robes though, so if you like that by all means go with them. Summoners can actually kill undead quite effectively early on thanks to Praying if your god allows Holy Word to be cast, so that's an option for levelling up at the start of the game.
